America has always had a strong sense that God’s providence is abundant, that no challenge can ever be too great and no enemy too strong. Darn tootin’ that those lamestream liberal journolisters at the New York Slime have the unnerve and indecency to start their “report” (more like a hit-job) on Sarah’s AH-MAZING speech in Madison, Wisconsin today with this no-good excuse for a lede:

At first, the prospect drew mildly worried looks from people on both sides of this state’s giant political divide…

EX-SCUSE ME? “Both sides” of the divide? As if the stuck-up, holier-than-thou NYT ever has ANY ideas about what’s going on in the rest of America outside their ivory tower!! At least any CORRECT ideas. Especially after they put up ANOTHER Berlin payWall between them and the American people… Anyway! Moving on!

But there she was on Saturday afternoon, a throng of Tea Party supporters cheering her on and a throng of union supporters trying to shout them (and her) down.

WELL, so nice of the Times to actually report the FACTS for once! I’m shocked! Oh wait, there they go again: Lyin’ and makin’ up stuff about a “throng” of union thugs.

First of all, from someone who was THERE (in my heart, at least), the few anti-Sarah haters that were there were more than outnumbered 100-2-1 by all of her and Governor Walker’s supporters. That’s it Times, you’ve lost me. Since we’re all looking for the facts, time to switch over to a real blue-blooded American news source: Reuters.

Conservative Sarah Palin returned to the U.S. political arena on Saturday after several months absence with a feisty speech attacking both the establishment Republican Party and Democratic President Barack Obama and proclaiming “the 2012 elections begin here.”

Now that’s more like it!

As snow and sleet fell on Madison’s main square, Palin attacked the budget compromise between Republicans and Obama on cuts of around $38 billion instead of $100 billion promised by Republicans in elections last November.

“That is not courage, that is capitulation,” she said, adding that a recent bruising battle in Wisconsin over union bargaining rights provided a number of lessons.

“We didn’t elect you just to rearrange the deck chairs on a sinking Titanic,” she said. “We didn’t elect you just to stand back and watch Obama redistribute those deck chairs.”

Palin also pointed out that Wisconsin is the “the frontlines in the battle for the future of our country! This is where the line has been drawn in the sand and I am proud to stand with you today in solidarity. I’m here today as a Patriot, a taxpayer, as a former union member and the wife of a union member…the daughter of a family full of schoolteachers,” and said that “Your Governor Scott Walker understands that states must be solvent in order to keep their promises” to fulfill government pensions. She rightly blamed the union bosses for their “death threats and thug tactics” and praised the Tea Party for “real solidarity.”

Later, she took to Twitter to downplay the virtual version of those thug tactics, RTing

And of course, she got loads of love from her loyal Facebook fans. Like Shelby Storm, who wrote:

The Wisconsin peeps are coming to facebook to say good things about Sarah’s speech. I think the people have missed Palin being out on the trail like she did in 2008. She needs to get out and more of this and RUN.

It’s another birth rumor that just won’t die.

Examining a story that few media outlets have dared investigate, Business Insider ran a piece today looking into the claims made by Northern Kentucky University professor Bradford Scharlott that Sarah Palin may not be the biological mother of Trig.

If you’ve read Andrew Sullivan on this matter, you won’t see much new in the piece, but the fact that Business Insider ran it as its lead story is significant.

With Palin’s political stock in free fall, suddenly it seems as though an issue that was formerly off-limits for the main stream media is now fair game.

Glenn Beck, the soon to be former Fox News host, says that his pal Sarah Palin ain’t gonna run for president in 2012.

Echoing Andrew Breitbart, Beck hinted that Palin doesn’t want the gig.

“Sarah Palin, I don’t think, wants to run for president,” Beck said on his radio show on Monday.

That’s a little different than Breitbart’s assertion that Palin is too good for the job, but does cast the decision as the ex-Governor’s rather than the fact that she has been nosediving in the polls.

Beck also did note a Palin mistake in her non-quest to become president. “She should have come out with that first book, and it should have been deep policy,” Beck said. Yeah, and “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” should have been more of a meditation on quantum physics, too.

Ah well, if Beck’s right, that certainly clears the way for Michele Bachmann.

Citing her recent embrace of Donald Trump’s birtherism, The Christian Science Monitor wonders whether Sarah Palin and the Donald shouldn’t consider joining forces on the 2012 Republican ticket.

The reality show pairing has a nice ring to it, in the opinion of the Daily Palin. And what with Trump having stolen Palin’s poll thunder, maybe it should be Trump’s name first on the marquee. Then again, we suspect that Palin loyalists won’t go for the apprentice routine in another election, especially to a guy who has never held elected office. But does the attention-grabbing Trump really seem like VP material?

Sarah Palin Pissed at GOP for Cutting Deal on Budget

Not everyone is relieved that the federal government didn’t shut down this week.

Yep, Sarah Palin is one of the few Americans still clinging to the prospect of gridlock.On Twitter, just before the deal between John Boehner, Harry Reid and President Obama was announced, she made sure to let the world know that she views compromise as a dirty word.

“GOP: don’t retreat! The country is going broke. We AFFORD cowboy poetry & subsidizing abortion,” Palin tweeted on Friday.

Seconds later she added, “if we can’t fight to defund this nonsense now when we have the chance, do you think we’ll win the big fight on entitlement reform later on?”

That big fight, of course, means following Rep. Ryan’s script, tuning Medicare into a private program, and pretty much ditching government assistance programs for the poor.

As for “cowboy poetry,” we here at the Daily Palin are scratching our heads. Probably it’s her way of criticizing the National Endowment of the Arts, were guessing. But hey, maybe she should check out Cowboypoetry.com.

America’s fastest-sinking presumptive candidate for president is hoping that the man she’d like to replace is blamed for the seemingly imminent shutdown of the federal government.

After striking a “no compromise” posture for the better part of the past two years, since Barack Obama quashed John McCain like a bug in the ‘08 election, Sarah Palin is now tweeting for all with eyes to read that she knows who is solely at fault for the impending collapse of negotiations.

“Pres will veto 1-week spending bill to avoid govt shutdown if Congress passes,” Palin tweeted. “So, now $4T later, leaderless govt digs further debt, bickers over cutting peanuts - peanuts we don’t even have. It’s unsustainable! Let him shut it.”

Obama’s promised veto, of course, came after John Boehner attempted to ram more spending cuts through (above and beyond those Democrats had already agreed to making) by craftily adding a military funding clause to the deal. Thus, when the inevitable promise of a veto to the heinous offer came, people like Palin could cry, “see, he hates the troops!”

Palin’s GOP nemesis Karl Rove, however, knows that the “let him shut it” logic is political suicide for Republicans, and that Obama stock would not, despite Palin’s hopes, do anything but rise as a result.

Further evidence that Sarah Palin’s star is fast fading in the Republican night sky. A new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll has our favorite reality television star now in fourth place in the race to capture the GOP nomination. Here’s how the field currently stands according to the survey:

Mitt Romney: 21 percent

Donald Trump: 17 percent

Mike Huckabee: 17 percent

Newt Gingrich: 11 percent

Sarah Palin: 10 percent

On the bright side for Palin, she’s still polling higher than her Minnesota doppelganger, Michele Bachmann, and has more support than the man whose name has become synonymous with frothy fecal matter (Google “Santorum” and note the first entry).

Hey, it’s called “Dancing with the Stars” for a reason, alright?

Representatives for Bristol Palin fired back Wednesday at criticism that their gal maybe didn’t quite deserve being paid $262,500 to promote abstinence and discourage teen pregnancy on behalf of the Candie’s Foundation.

“She shot PSAs, print and Internet ads and did town hall meetings, as well, and the money she made was an accumulation of all that. This is not out of the ordinary for a celebrity to make an income off of a charity they represent,” Palin’s an oddly anonymous spokesperson told E!

As we discussed at The Daily Palin earlier today, the Candie’s Foundation and “Dancing with the Stars” seem to be in agreement on this point. Bristol, like her mother, is a star. And stars get paid to “make news” as the rep. put it.

As for those PSAs, we couldn’t help but recall Bristol’s cringe-worthy pairing with The Situation. Is this really the best a couple hundred thousand can buy these days?

As yet, no snarling on this subject from the Mama Grizzly herself, but we’ll keep our ears open.

Lemons into lemonade.

Schooled by her famous mother, Bristol Palin has learned a thing or two about making a buck. In 2009, Bristol was paid $262,500 to help raise awareness for teen pregnancy prevention by the Candie’s Foundation. Yes, that money will come in handy raising Tripp, the child Bristol conceived when she was an unwed teen.

Maybe the Candie’s Foundation’s logic for signing up Bristol went something like, “hey, who better than someone who has gone through this to warn other girls not to make the same mistake…” Or, maybe they were simply blinded by Palin celebrity like the producers of Dancing With the Stars.

Given that Bristol—who, in retrospect, makes Kirstie Alley look like Ginger Rogers—still managed to make it all the way to the finals of the dance competition, that question of life experience or skill seems to be somewhat beside the point.

Simply put, the Palin family is a business. Both Sarah and Bristol have applied to trademark their names, after all. Bristol’s brand is dancing and abstinence, two things that, ironically, she doesn’t seem to be very good at in real life.

Palin Poll Crack: Trump Trouncing Sarah in New Hampshire

A new PPP poll of New Hampshire Republicans finds that in the battle of reality television stars Donald Trump trumps Sarah Palin.

In fact, Trump would receive 21 percent of the GOP vote if the election were held today, as compared to the paltry 10 percent who say they’d vote for Palin. Both trail front-runner Mitt Romney, who scored 27 percent in the survey.

The key to Trump’s success?

He does well with birthers and Tea Partiers, two groups he has seemed to actively court with his public comments of late.

You see, in order to win Republican primaries, you’ve really got to pump up the volume on the crazy. Sarah, you’re not going to let Trump corner the market, are you?
